From: the Michael Maron and Karolina (Croissant) Family History by Joyce Martin and Joan Sam (Muhlbier) - Published 1984.

John Johann Maron was born 7 Jun 1884 in Rohrback, Russia - Died 7 July 1965 - second child of Michael Maron and Karolina Croissant.  He married Christina Frichel in about 1903

John Maron and his wife and three children immigrated from Russia in 1912, included in the party were his , father, mother, two brothers and five sisters.

They took up a homestead, south of Loyalist which  in later years was north of Little Gem. This was very rocky land, not the best for farming.

In 1932 they moved to the J.R. Riech farm closer to Consort and Loyalist where he remained until his death, with the exception of three or four years in the late 1930s and early 1940 when he moved north of Consort and back again.

We all attended Silverdale school, which was less than one mile from our farm. The farm is now operated by my brother Henry's son, Dennis Maron.

Our mother passed away June 6, 1947; dad-on July 7, 1965; Leo, November 11, 1975; Harry, January 4, 1978; Erna (Mrs. George Munn), July 17, 1980; Della (Mrs Jacob Suchotzky), January 12,, 1984; and John, March 15, 1984.
